Dear Colleagues,

it is our pleasure to invite all the registered participants of ICDEA2008 to send us their contribution for the Conference Proceedings.
Please download style template when preparing your paper in LaTeX; we are sorry we cannot accept contributions in Word or Scientific Workstation or similar.
Page limitations are as follows:
Contributed talks: 8 pages / One-hour talks: None
Deadlines are as follows: Submission deadline is October 31, 2008 (firm, will not be extended). First round of review will be completed by December 31, 2008. At that time, editors may issue one of the following decision: Publish unaltered, minor revision, major revision, reject. Minor revision will be checked by editor, major revision will go back to referee(s). The second round of review will be completed by March 31, 2009. At that time, editors may issue one of the following decision: Publish unaltered or reject (note: due to time restrictions, another revision will not be possible anymore).
Please e-mail your contribution before the deadline either to icdea2008@bahcesehir.edu.tr or to any of us directly. All contributors to the Proceedings will receive a free copy.
All papers will be indexed by MathSciNet and Zentralblatt. The Proceedings will be published before the end of the first half of 2009.

We are happy to announce that our application for financial support has been accepted by TUBITAK. To benefit from the fund you must be younger than 35 years of age, must be participating from outside of Istanbul, must be presenting a paper at the conference and finally must be affiliated with a university in Turkey. Dear Colleagues and Members:
It is an honor to invite you to participate and give a talk in the upcoming annual meeting of the society in Istanbul, Turkey. The Fourteenth International Conference on Difference Equations and Applications ICDEA 14 will be held on the campus of Bahcesehir University, on July 21-25, 2008. http://icdea.bahcesehir.edu.tr/

Please mark your calendar to attend this historical meeting where west meets east; you may be able to cross on foot from Asia to Europe and vice versa.

Not only will we have an excellent scientific program, but we will have a splendid social program; don't come without your camera.

The general assembly will meet on Thursday, July 24th, 2008. The main event will be the presentation of the prize for the best paper published in the Journal of the Society (JDEA) in 2007. The prize carries the amount of 500 EUR granted by Taylor & Francis.

Finally, I would like to thank, on behalf of all of you, Dr. Mehmet Ünal of the University of Bahcesehir for his relentless efforts to make ICDEA 14 a reality. I am grateful to all members of the organizing, scientific, and advisory committees for their hard work and efforts to make this conference the best it can be.
